Welcome to Natura Sessions. Today's episode is a guided nature meditation — an invitation to rewild your inner landscape. This is the uncut version, which includes a twenty-minute silent sitting period at the end.
Find a comfortable position. You can be sitting, lying down, or even standing. Close your eyes if that feels comfortable, or soften your gaze toward the ground.
Begin by noticing your breath. Not changing it. Just noticing. The air coming in cool through your nostrils. The gentle expansion of your chest and belly. The warm release of the exhale. You are a breathing animal. This is the most fundamental act of your existence.
Now expand your awareness outward. If you were standing in a forest right now, what would you feel? The earth beneath your feet, solid and ancient. The air on your skin, carrying the scent of pine and damp soil. The sounds — birdsong, wind, the distant murmur of water.
Imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet, reaching down into the dark soil. These roots connect you to the earth, to the mycorrhizal networks we explored in our last episode. You are not separate from nature. You are nature, temporarily organized into human form.
Feel the sun on your face — even if you're indoors, remember it. That light has traveled ninety-three million miles to reach you. Every photon began its journey eight minutes ago in a nuclear furnace. And now it warms your skin. You are made of starstuff, as Sagan reminded us.
As thoughts arise — and they will — let them pass like clouds across the sky of your mind. Don't chase them. Don't judge them. Just notice, and return to the breath. To the earth. To this moment.
You are here. You are alive. You are part of something vast and ancient and beautiful.
The silent sit begins now. Twenty minutes of just being. No guidance. No words. Just you and the earth and the breath.

Gently bring your awareness back to your body. Wiggle your fingers and toes. Take a deep breath. When you're ready, open your eyes.
Thank you for sitting with me. This has been Natura Sessions. Until next time — stay rooted.
